Consultation Workshop on the Donaldson Report
Rural Community Network in partnership with the Community Development and Health Network are running a consultation workshop on the Donaldson Report on Thursday 7Th May from 10am-12 in RCN offices in Cookstown. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the recommendations of the Donaldson Report which was published in February and is currently out to public consultation until 22nd May.
The Review was led by Sir Liam Donaldson who was previously the Chief Medical Officer for England. The report highlighted the slow progress in implementing the proposals in Transforming Your Care and made ten recommendations in relation to the future of health and social care provision.
The workshop will be addressed by Joanne Morgan Director of CDHN and Maeve Hully the Chief Executive of the Patient and Client Council. We would encourage any community and voluntary groups that have an interest in the delivery of health services, particularly in rural areas to attend and give their views on the report’s recommendation to inform the consultation process.
If you wish to attend please register your interest with Teresa McKernan on 028 8676 6670 or email email@example.com
