Dungannon West Recycled Teenagers (DWRT) aims to relieve the poverty and sickness suffered by the senior citizens in the area. The group’s objectives are to tackle social isolation, improve confidence, learn together and have fun along the way!

Centred Soul Health & Wellbeing is based in Newry and supports families in the local community who have been affected by Perinatal Mental Health & Birth Trauma. The organisation offers support services such as counselling and complementary therapy as well as parent and child classes.

Ashes to Gold provides support to the community within the Causeway Coast and Glens area with the aim of increasing their confidence, motivation and self-belief while learning new skills.

Breaking down barriers

Triangle Housing Association provides housing to people including those with learning disabilities who are supported to live independently. This BCPP project engaged with a group of adults with a learning disability in order to build relationships and promote independence in understanding and managing healthcare.

Building confidence, creating positive change

Owenkillew Community Development Association provides services and activities for the benefit of the community in Gortin village and surrounding areas which have a high level of rural isolation. The group covers areas such as personal development, wellbeing, healthy eating, dance, music and art.

A new lease of life...

The Toome area has a high level of unemployment resulting in health-related inequalities where many men suffer from stress, anxiety, loneliness and a lack of basic skills. Toome Men’s Shed is a safe place for men who share the same problems to come together for support and friendship and also offers woodworking furniture repair within the community.

Healthy steps to ageing

Mid & East Antrim Agewell Partnership (MEAAP) is a local inter-agency-based partnership aimed at improving the lives of older people aged 60 years and over, living in the Ballymena, Larne & Carrickfergus areas.

Improving lives and connections

Men’s Shed Fermanagh is open to men aged 50+ with local members enjoying a range of activities including joinery, gardening, basket weaving and keep fit. Focusing on learning new skills, making new friends and having a bit of craic, the shed is the place to be if you live in the Devenish, Erne and Irvinestown area.

Supporting parents on physical & mental health

Down Right Brilliant is a parent led support group based in Newry working with children and young adults with Down Syndrome offering a Youth Club and Summer Scheme.

Learning together...

Ballymena has a high drug and alcohol addictions problem and the Hope Centre is long established and trusted within the community to provide a wide range of support, education and help. The group previously received BCPP funding and included family members and carers alongside their clients.
