Project summary
Bogside and Brandywell Health Forum (BBHF) is a community led project bringing together many different groups and agencies in order to enchance the health and well being of the people of the Bogside area to address health inequalities. They have completed four projects with BCPP one level one and three level two's all of which targeted teenagers not engaged in other youth activities. The pharmacist's role over the course of the projects has developed and strengthened the partnership between BBHF and the local pharmacy.
In this level three project they built on the learning from their previous projects and again worked with younger people not already engaged in current health programmes.
The aim was to increase awareness of health problems associated with being overweight or obese, improving life skills and to reduce barriers and raise awareness of the services offered by their partner.
