Elevate Training
Who Gets to be Healthy? Understanding how Health Inequalities impact our Communities
The Elevate programme offers free online training on using community development approaches to reduce health inequalities. The training is delivered over a full day. We offer both online and face-to-face sessions depending on what suits you best.
The training is designed for community, voluntary and statutory sectors, and includes:
- Health inequalities in a regional and local context
- The Social Determinants of Health
- Community Development values and practice
- Real-life examples of using community development to tackle health inequalities
You do not have to be a community development practitioner or a health professional to access this training – it is suitable for volunteers, paid workers and professionals from health, housing, education, environment, welfare and local government. If you are an experienced worker, new to this area of work or simply an interested individual, there will be something here for you.
