Health Inequalities Factsheet Northern Ireland 2024

Infographic summary of the Department of Health's Annual Report for 2024 on the health inequality gaps between the most well off and least well deprived areas of Northern Ireland, and within Health and Social Care Trust and Local Government District areas. Data on eight health related indicators are presented: hospital activity, diet and dental health, pregnancy and early years, alcohol, drugs and smoking, mental health and wellbeing, premature mortality, life expectancy and general health, major diseases and conditions.

A Better Future Together: a community plan for Causeway Coast and Glens 2017-2030

This is the first community plan for Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council area. The document provides an area profile, its vision and values. The key findings from community engagement led to the identification of three main issues: A Sustainable Accessible Envirnment, A Thriving Economy and A Healthy, Safe Community, which the outcomes and outcomes indicators sit under.

Recognising and Reducing Health Inequalities: community development in a GP Practice multidisciplinary team

This case study explores the impact of the Elevate programme on a team of social workers who support patients in a GP practice as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The Evaluate workshop led them to consider the difference between community-based work and community development, the benefit from interacting with the community and voluntary sector, and the connections between social determinants of health, multi-disciplinary teams and connecting with the community.
