This desk top scoping exercise examined academic literature, government publications and reports from the third sector, as well as sought the views and experiences of people from representative groups. The report looked at the causes and impacts of loneliness, as well as current responses to loneliness in Northern Ireland, and strategic responses to loneliness in UK and Ireland. The paper ends with a call for a loneliness strategy.

Living Well Togther: a community plan for Newry, Mourne and Down to 2030

This is the first community plan for Newry, Mourne and Down area for 2017-2030. The plan sets out their vision, aims, principles and values and presents statistics on the area. The plan covers five outcomes on all people in Newry, Mourne and Down getting a good start in life and fulfilling their lifelong potential, enjoying good health and wellbeing, benefiting from prosperous communities, benefiting from a clean, quality and sustainable environment and live in respectful, safe and vibrant communities, with indicators set against these outcomes.

Working Together for Wellbeing: embedding wellbeing in Northern Ireland local government programme

This summary report by Pippa Coutts et al. is the findings from Carnegie's three-year Embedding Wellbeing in Northern Ireland project, that ran from 2017 to 2021. The project worked with three Community Planning Partnerships. The report details the learnings from the programme, particularly around co-production, shared learning and data and evidence.
