This paper explores the impact of the cost of living crisis in in Scotland in 2022 , with recommendations. As official statistics were unreliable due to Covid-19, the findings were based on a poll of over 4,000 adults and people with lived experience from the End Poverty Scotland Group. The report focuses on the cost of living crisis, people's ability to deal with these spikes in costs, the impact on people's lived and people's opinions on society's (eg Government etc) responses to helping.

This paper describes the review undertaken by the Comission on Social Determinants of Health, set up by the World Health Organization, to develop a conceptual framework on social determinants. The paper defines core values of health equity, human rights and distribution of power, before looking at previous theories such as the life course perspective that help understand the social determinants of health. It then provides the conceptual framework CSDH developed to tackle social determinants of health to improve health equity and lead to social justice.

The report explores why the interviewees first sought food aid, the core driver of food bank use, the challenges with using the Government systems that are supposed to support them, the poverty trap and the impact of poverty on mental health.
